Ever since I realized the new Sims expansion pack came out and I made a little bit of money selling old textbooks, I splurged. And bought it. And since then, have done little else. So while I am having the time of my life, I am also fighting off game bugs that have infested. At some point...
Next week I'm going to write a more in-depth review of some parts of the game it doesn't seem like other sites have touched on yet, but I'd like to leave you with this tip:
If you're having zombie problems (and really, who in life isn't?) who are constantly destroying your plants while you sleep despite your limited edition peashooters, you're going to have to have to do some build and moveobjects and buydebug cheats to make a garden on a balcony on the second floor or just inside if you're in a one-story. There's a good explanation of how to do it if you google it. :)
- My sim disappeared (body, picture and all) with his Sim bob sitting on the floor. This was somehow related to his wife getting a job (brainwashing...?!)
- He then refused to get dressed after a shower and walked around and went to work in the nude, sans sensor bar. It was bizarre and weird and I hated it. To fix all this, I had his wife quit her job, moved him out in Edit Town and moved him back in.
- zombies zombies everywhere. And all day and all night every day and every night. From searching online, this is from saving the game on a full moon night. Whoops.
- Also related, my teenage werewolf was unable to change back to being a human even though it was no longer a full moon. Testingcheats turned on, option-click on the werewolf moodlet, solved.
- Speaking of werewolves, there was also no transform button in CAS, so his werewolf form has been changing constantly since then in various shades of ugly. There's a fix for it online but it involves a mod that I hadn't got around to trying. (EDIT: If you installed Nraas Master Controller, you can go into CAS through the Master Controller menu and change your Sim's werewolf form, the button will now appear. You don't need to put your Sim in the Sim bin/evict etc. after you change it. I did mine and after three days and a full moon, he is now using the form I made for him just by changing it in CAS.)
