Cal's sister's boyfriend has a pilot's licens (and he's French to boot) so he took us all out on a plane ride around Long Island Sound. We saw Block Island, the Hamptons (huge massive houses with personal tennis courts, castle-sized), the rest of Long Island, Plum Island, and the beach we were staying at from the opposite side, Point O' Woods. It was fantastically fun. One of my favorite parts probably was a lighthouse off of Plum Island that was just in the middle of the ocean.
And I can't forget to mention that Cal flew the plane! He turned it and settled our elevation, per direction of the pilot. Honestly, that part was a little terrifying. But now Cal's on this aviation binge obsession so maybe he'll be getting his pilot's license someday in the future.
