Rails to Trails

Today Calbet went hiking while I was at class and discovered some Rails to Trails pretty near my apartment. This whole idea was completely new to me, either because I was from California and the only railroad tracks we had in my town are still working, or because there are no such things as trails through the forest, or whatever, it is no matter. He explained to me that these are old railroad tracks refurbished to serve as bike trails and he had been biking on them all last summer in Connecticut. And you learn something new every day.
